A Call in Harsh Weather
The call came in during severe weather—snow mixed with rain, the temperature dropping fast. A small puppy had reportedly been abandoned at a trash site, exposed to the cold. Rescue workers didn’t hesitate. They set out immediately, knowing that in conditions like these, time matters.

A Tiny Life Among the Waste
At the dump, surrounded by debris and discarded items, they found her. A tiny brown puppy, curled tightly into herself, trembling from the cold. She was weak and clearly struggling—but when the rescuer knelt down, her tail moved ever so slightly.
That small gesture said everything. She was still holding on.
Searching for Answers Nearby
After lifting her gently, the rescuer searched the surrounding area. They checked carefully for other puppies or a mother dog who might still be nearby. But the site was silent. Nija had been left completely alone.

Rushed Into Care
Back at the shelter, the puppy was named Nija. Veterinarians began examining her right away. She was suffering from severe hypothermia after spending too long outdoors. Fluids were started to stabilize her condition and help her body warm and recover.
An Unexpected Diagnosis
Further testing revealed difficult news. Nija had contracted parvovirus—a serious and highly dangerous illness for puppies her age. At just two months old, her body faced a fight no young animal should ever have to endure.
Still, the team did not step back. Treatment began immediately, with constant monitoring and careful isolation to protect her and others.
Holding Onto Hope
The video closes quietly. Nija rests under close supervision, surrounded by warmth, soft bedding, and attentive care. The rescue team makes a promise—not with words, but with action—to do everything possible to help her survive and heal.
Her story is a reminder that even when life begins in the coldest places, compassion can offer warmth—and a chance.
