Left Alone on a Broken Cart
Moika was discovered beside a quiet roadside, lying helplessly on a small homemade cart.
The cart itself was damaged and barely functioning. It appeared someone had once tried to help the little dog move—but at some point, Moika had simply been left behind.
Despite everything, the dog did not show aggression.
Instead, Moika seemed frightened but gentle, cautiously watching the people who had come closer. When rescuers approached, they noticed that both of Moika’s back legs were paralyzed, leaving the dog unable to walk.

The small body looked tired and weak from struggling to survive alone.
Still, Moika greeted the rescuers with quiet trust.
A Painful Truth Revealed
At the veterinary clinic, doctors conducted a full examination and took X-rays to understand what had happened.
The results told a heartbreaking story.
Moika’s spine had once been severely broken. Surgery had already been attempted in the past, and metal screws were visible along the spine where veterinarians had tried to stabilize the injury.
It appeared that someone had once tried to help.
But when the operation did not restore the ability to walk, Moika had been abandoned—left behind along with the broken mobility cart.
For the rescue team, there was only one decision.
Moika deserved another chance.

And that second chance would take Moika much farther than anyone expected.
A Journey Toward Recovery
To give Moika the best possible care, the rescue team arranged for the dog to travel to Dublin, Ireland, where more advanced rehabilitation therapy was available.
There, Moika began a new chapter of healing.
Warm baths helped soothe sore muscles. A carefully planned diet helped rebuild strength and improve overall health. Veterinarians and therapists introduced treatments such as acupuncture and laser therapy to reduce inflammation and stimulate nerve function.
Each day brought small improvements.
But perhaps the most exciting moment came when Moika received a brand new wheelchair—bright pink, sturdy, and designed specifically for comfort and mobility.

For the first time in a long time, Moika could move freely again.
Friendship, Joy, and a New Life
Life at the rescue center also meant something Moika had not experienced for a long time: companionship.
Moika quickly made friends with other dogs at the center, including Peter and especially Mark—another dog who also used a wheelchair.
Together, they explored the grounds, played in the snow, and enjoyed the simple joy of moving freely.
Moika’s personality began to shine.
The once abandoned dog now barked excitedly by the window, rolled happily through the snow, and even learned how to manage daily routines with growing independence.
Today, Moika is full of energy and life.
Though the injury remains permanent, the dog’s spirit is stronger than ever.
Moika’s journey reminds us that a disability does not define a life.

With patience, compassion, and the right support, even a wounded soul can rediscover happiness—and run toward a brighter future. 🐾
