At the bottom of a deep brick well, barely visible through darkness and shadows, a dog was trapped with no way out. The well was narrow, steep, and far deeper than it appeared from above. Local residents heard the cries late at night and followed the sound until they discovered the source. Peering down into the well, they spotted the dog far below, pacing in tight circles, looking up toward the light.
