A Frightened Dog Ran for Miles With a Plastic “Dabba” Trapped on His Head — Until Rescuers Finally Caught Him

A Dangerous Trap for a Stray Dog

The video begins with a worrying sight.

A black-and-white stray dog is wandering through the streets with his entire head trapped inside a large plastic container — commonly called a “Dabba” in India.

The rigid jar covers his face completely.

Because of it, the dog cannot see clearly, cannot reach food or water, and likely struggles to breathe comfortably. Confused and frightened, he moves through the area without direction, trying to escape the strange object that has suddenly become his prison.

Without help, the situation could quickly become life-threatening.

A Long Search Through the Area

Rescuers soon begin searching for the trapped dog.

But the task is not easy.

The frightened animal keeps running whenever someone gets close. At different moments, the team spots him hiding in bushes, crouching under parked cars, and moving along roads littered with trash.

Each time they approach, he disappears again.

The rescue team follows carefully, chasing him across uneven dirt hills and through scattered waste areas, determined not to lose sight of him.

They know that catching him safely is the only way to remove the dangerous plastic container.

Video: The Moment Rescuers Finally Free the Dog From the Plastic Jar

After several attempts, the rescuers finally manage to guide the dog into a corner where he can no longer escape.

Two team members move quickly.

Instead of using tools, they carefully grab the dog with their hands, holding him securely so he cannot injure himself while struggling.

Once the dog is safely restrained, the rescuers begin working on the plastic jar.

The container is stuck tightly around his neck.

One rescuer gently holds the dog’s body steady while another carefully grips the jar and slowly twists it, loosening it little by little. The movement must be controlled to avoid scratching or hurting the sensitive skin around the dog’s neck.

After several careful turns and steady pulling, the plastic container finally slides free.

Freedom Returns

The moment the jar is removed, the rescuers release the dog.

For a brief second he stands still — perhaps adjusting to the sudden return of clear sight.

Then he runs.

The black-and-white dog begins jumping and moving freely again, clearly relieved that the strange object is finally gone.

Within moments, he disappears across the open ground, safe once more.

Preventing the Same Danger Again

Before leaving, the rescuers take one final step.

They crush the plastic jar underfoot, breaking it into pieces so it can never trap another animal.

For stray animals living among human waste and discarded objects, even an ordinary plastic container can become a deadly trap.

But thanks to patience, determination, and teamwork, this dog’s story ends with something far better.

A return to freedom — and the chance to continue his life without the plastic prison that once surrounded him. 🐾
