A Chance Encounter on the Road

One ordinary day, while driving to visit her mother, a woman noticed a small dog wandering alone along the roadside.

At first glance, the dog looked in terrible condition.

Her fur was completely matted with mud and dirt, hanging heavily around her thin body. The little dog barked nervously when someone approached, clearly frightened by the presence of humans.

The woman stopped and gently offered some food.

Slowly, the dog began to calm down, though she still kept a cautious distance.

As the woman looked closer, she realized something was terribly wrong.

At the base of the dog’s tail was a large mass of tangled fur mixed with waste, hardened and stuck together. The clump had completely covered the dog’s anus, preventing her from relieving herself.

This blockage had become extremely dangerous.

If it continued, it could lead to severe internal complications and even threaten the dog’s life.

A Difficult Rescue

The woman and her husband knew they had to help.

It took nearly an hour of patience and careful effort before they were finally able to catch the frightened dog and bring her home.

Once inside the house, something remarkable happened.

The dog seemed to sense that she was finally safe. She became quiet and cooperative, allowing the couple to begin helping her.

Cleaning the tangled mess proved to be an enormous challenge.

The smell was so strong that the woman had to wear a mask while working. With help from her mother, they slowly used warm water and scissors to remove the hardened clumps of fur and waste.

The process took almost two full hours.

Piece by piece, the dirty mass was removed.

When it was finally gone, the rescuers were shocked to see how thin the dog really was—her body was almost just skin and bones.

The following day, the dog was taken to a veterinary clinic for a full examination.

Thankfully, the veterinarian delivered encouraging news.

Despite everything she had endured, the dog was otherwise healthy. Removing the blockage in time had prevented a serious intestinal emergency.

The vet also confirmed that the dog was a female, about three years old.

The woman’s mother quickly grew attached to the gentle dog and decided to adopt her.

She gave the dog a new name: Fu Bao, which means “lucky treasure.”

Returning to the Past

About ten days later, the family brought Fu Bao back to the place where she had originally been found.

They wondered if she might have an old owner or companions there.

When Fu Bao arrived, she immediately recognized several other stray dogs in the area—likely friends she had once known.

The dogs greeted each other with wagging tails.

But Fu Bao seemed uncertain.

She kept glancing back at her new family, almost as if she feared being abandoned again.

For her, this place held memories of loneliness and pain.

In the end, Fu Bao chose not to stay.

She walked away beside her new family, leaving her past behind.

A Happy New Life

Today, Fu Bao looks completely different.

Her fur is clean and soft, and her bright eyes shine with comfort and trust. The infection she once suffered has healed, and she can now live without pain or discomfort.

Most importantly, she has become a loving companion to the woman’s mother.

Fu Bao follows her everywhere, enjoying a life filled with warmth, safety, and affection.

The small dog who once struggled alone on the street now sleeps peacefully in a real home—finally surrounded by the love she always deserved. 🐾
